About CG Living

CG Living was first conceived in 2018 and born in 2020 when the world felt uneasy and I found myself with a little more time on my hands, but more of this story below!

Here you will find inspiration, fashion favorites, decor for every season, recipes worth repeating and just good ole' mom talk. I can't wait to get to know you better, friends! And I sure hope you can find yourself a happy little spot here at CG Living.

Thank you for joining me in this journey. A journey it has been and your support means more to me than you will ever know.

mission

The mission at CG Living will always be for you to leave inspired and empowered to make your life and home one that you desire to live and find JOY in. Faith, Fashion and Home, it’s all here. Whether you are a stay-at-home mom, or have a career outside of your home, together let's make it happen together.

I want you to walk away from CG Living feeling beautiful and your best self. If only I could bottle confidence in a cute mason jar and slap a CG Living sticker on it. If I figure this out, you best believe I'm going on Shark Tank. Stay tuned.

You will also find nothing but positivity here sprinkled with Southern hospitality along with witty humor that I steal from years of watching Friends episodes.

Nonetheless, I am SO glad you are here.

THE STORY

Having a lifestyle blog is something that I have always dreamt of. I definitely played my fair share of following God's game "follow the road map". I've also gotten lost a few times doing this or that.

At the age of 23, I was married and was 18-hours short of a Mathematics degree. Still, I truly had no idea what God had in store for me career-wise. While being a stay-at-home mom was wildly entertaining (and by wild, I mean wild), I felt called to work. I began a career in direct sales and found a passion for sharing things that I love. Meeting new people was the icing on the cake! I love people and find joy in making them happy. After my 5 years in direct sales, it was clear that fashion was a passion of mine but what I would do next wasn't quite in focus.

Almost 4 years ago, I was settling into my new job as a National Sales Director for a children's clothing company - life was GREAT. The job was a God-send and the company was growing at an incredible pace. I LOVED coaching women to realize their full potential and also, in some cases, be the sole providers for their families. It was incredibly fulfilling.

Then... 2020.
It's like a curse word.

After the shut down of the economy and the loss of my job, I found myself with a lot more time and energy. I was organizing and cleaning out my home. Not wanting to take for granted that time, I settled with new clarity and vision for opportunity. Now, I'm not going to sit here and tell you that sadness didn't settle all over me. It did. But, for the first time in what seemed like a VERY long time, the dream of a lifestyle blog was in reach. Fred, my husband and best friend, was all in and SO supportive and I could see that this was destined to be real. All in God's time, my friends.

And here we are. Launching on my 40th birthday. The feeling is incredible and I am certainly glad to celebrate with you.

Stick around. Fun lies ahead. ;)
